1. Acceptance of these Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using FORGE (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). The Service is developed and published by Mahato, an individual based in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, operating under the name HomoLLabs (“HomoLLabs,” “we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Developer”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy by reference.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use FORGE. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Description of the Service

FORGE is a behavioral discipline application that lets you record daily check-ins, keep a private behavioral history (the “Arc”), and use related features including the Vault, Forge Report, Forge Partner, and Forge Circles, depending on your subscription tier.

FORGE is not a medical device, a mental health treatment service, or a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care. Features such as Night Forge and the Grief Protocol are designed to support personal reflection; they do not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy for any condition.

4. Subscriptions, free trial, and billing

4.1 Free trial

FORGE offers a 21-day free trial. No payment method is required to begin.

4.2 Subscription tiers

FORGE offers annual and monthly recurring subscription options, as displayed in the app at the time of purchase. Pricing may change; any change will be shown to you before it takes effect for your account.

4.3 Auto-renewal disclosure

The following applies to all auto-renewing subscriptions, as required by Apple and Google:

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the cost of the selected plan. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your Account Settings on the App Store or Google Play after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, or through the Customer Center in FORGE’s Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

4.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. FORGE does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds on Apple’s or Google’s behalf.

4.6 The Integrity tier

FORGE offers a reduced-price subscription tier for users for whom standard pricing is a barrier. It is offered without an eligibility verification process.

4.7 Graduation and billing cessation

If you maintain an active subscription continuously for 365 days, HomoLLabs intends to stop charging you for that subscription, unless you choose to begin a new subscription or purchase Alumni Status. This is a personal commitment, not a legal guarantee, and it is not yet automated in the app. Until it is, if you reach 365 days of continuous subscription, email support-forge@homollabs.org and we will work with you to end further charges. Because subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, you may also need to cancel the subscription in your store account. It is not backed by a corporate governance structure, escrow, or third-party enforcement mechanism.

4.8 Alumni Status

After 365 days of active subscription, you may purchase Alumni Status as a one-time, non-recurring purchase that grants permanent read-only access to your existing Arc and Vault. Alumni Status does not include new check-ins and is non-refundable except as required by law or platform policy.

4.9 Sabbatical Mode

If you enter Sabbatical Mode between subscription periods, no charges are made by us during that period, and your existing data remains accessible in read-only form.

5. Your content

Any identity statement, Vault entry, or other content you create (“Your Content”) remains yours. We claim no ownership over it. By using FORGE, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, sync, and process Your Content solely to operate the Service for you. For your check-in history and Vault entries, this license never permits us to read, analyze, sell, or otherwise use Your Content for any other purpose, and because that content is encrypted before it leaves your device, we have no technical ability to do so. Your identity statement is never transmitted to our servers, so no license to us is needed or granted for it beyond what is necessary to display it back to you on your own devices.

As described in our Privacy Policy, individual check-in entries cannot be edited or deleted while your account is active. You accept this as a core characteristic of the Service.

You are responsible for keeping your own copy of Your Content. On Android, a cloud backup cannot be restored after you uninstall the app or change phones; use the in-app export before doing so (see the Privacy Policy, Section 3.7).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying algorithms of the Service, including the Momentum calculation logic
• Use automated means to create multiple accounts or abuse the free trial or the Integrity tier
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service’s infrastructure, including the Partner and Circle status services
• Read, overwrite, or tamper with another user’s Partner or Circle records
• Violate the rights of any Forge Partner or Forge Circle member you connect with

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity, and will make reasonable efforts to notify you and let you export Your Content first, except where immediate action is necessary to prevent harm or comply with law.

8. Intellectual property

The FORGE name, logo, the Arc Fragment mark, and all associated branding, design, and underlying behavioral architecture are owned by Mahato, operating as HomoLLabs. Except for the limited license to use the Service as intended, no rights in this intellectual property are granted to you.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SPECIFIC BEHAVIORAL OUTCOME WILL RESULT FROM YOUR USE OF IT.

FORGE IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, OR PSYCHIATRIC ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall HomoLLabs (the “Developer”) be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the FORGE application;
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the application; or
• Any content obtained from the application.

In no event shall the Developer’s total liability for all claims relating to the application exceed the total amount paid by you to the Developer for the subscription in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to liability.

The application is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind.

Nothing in this Section limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including any non-waivable consumer protection rights you hold under the law of your country of residence.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HomoLLabs from claims arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India.

If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection laws that cannot be displaced by a foreign governing-law clause, nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable right you hold under the law of your country of residence.

13. About the Developer’s operating structure

FORGE is developed and published by Mahato, operating under the name HomoLLabs. HomoLLabs is not, at this time, a separately incorporated company. Statements about HomoLLabs’s product philosophy and long-term commitments, including the billing cessation described in Section 4.7, reflect Mahato’s personal intentions and are not currently backed by a corporate governance structure, board oversight, or third-party legal enforcement mechanism. If HomoLLabs is incorporated in the future, these Terms will be updated before that change takes effect.

14. Changes to these Terms

We will notify you in the app before any material change to these Terms takes effect. If you keep using FORGE after that notice, the updated Terms apply to you.
